Many supply networks include products that must be handled carefully throughout the supply chain to ensure the integrity of the commodities because they are temperature-sensitive. Traditional temperature sensors can provide information about the current temperature, but acquiring that information can be difficult, particularly in a linked supply chain. Companies can use Radio-Frequency Identification temperature loggers and passive temperature tags to record current and historical temperatures.

How it works

TAG RFID

A Radio-Frequency Identification temperature logger is attached to a package. These loggers can record temperature data at predefined intervals. Batteries for this purpose are frequently integrated inside the loggers themselves. Passive temperature tags (no battery) can also be utilised, however they will only display the current temperature and not previous data.

RFID READER

Connect with Radio-Frequency Identification temperature tags at key points in the supply chain using RFID handhelds and stationary readers running TagMatiks software. When using loggers, collect previous data as well.

CALCULATE TEMPERATURE

Set alarms in TagMatiks depending on temperature thresholds and use the information gathered to report to users. Take the appropriate corporate action.
